Experimenting with gouache and watercolor

This week, i wanted to show you something really different. I paint often in video very polished paintings. But i’m not painting that kind of paints all the time ! I love to experiment and try new things !

I’m painting with watercolor for years and i’ve started gouache this year. So i’m very curious how this to medium interact together. And that’s exactly what i’m doing in this week’s video. Of course it’s only the beginning of several weeks of tests. And i’m working for now just with white gouache as it’s a “forbidden” color in watercolor.

What i like mostly in this kind of experimentation is that it will refill me with tons of ideas for my next paintings. The more i test and try new things the more ideas from it i get. Experimenting is such a boost in creativity and imagination !
