Muscari in watercolor

This week in wanted to paint again in spring painting with these muscaris !

These flowers are really peculiar withe those grapes of violet bobbles ! This shapes, the freshness of the colors and the vitality of it is exactly what i want to capture in this painting. I didn’t choose one reference in particular but i painted them from memory. This way i can be a bit more free in the composition and i can paint them just as i want them to be. Maybe i went a bit too far in the shape, but colors and energy are here and that’s exactly what i wanted !
